Travel · 2 (counted 1&2) count
Shuffle
Three quick steps squeezed into two counts. The engine of most dances.
Also called: Triple Step, Chassé
How to do it
- Step forward on your right.
- Slide your left up to meet it (this is the '&').
- Step forward on your right again.
The thing people get wrong
Right-left-right, and you finish on the same foot you started on. That is why it keeps you on pattern.
Dances that use it
This is one of about 25 moves that make up nearly every line dance. See all of them, or go to the jazz box.
