Travel · 2 (counted 1&2) count

Shuffle

Three quick steps squeezed into two counts. The engine of most dances.

Also called: Triple Step, Chassé

How to do it

  1. Step forward on your right.
  2. Slide your left up to meet it (this is the '&').
  3. Step forward on your right again.

The thing people get wrong

Right-left-right, and you finish on the same foot you started on. That is why it keeps you on pattern.
