Four counts that carry you sideways.

Step your right foot to the right.
Cross your left foot BEHIND your right.
Step your right foot to the right again.
Touch your left toe next to your right foot (or scuff, or kick — the night decides).

The behind-cross is the whole move. If you cross in front instead, you are doing a different step and you will end up in the wrong place.
