DOUBLE D Line Dance Tutorial
Choreographers own their work. We credit them by name and send you to their official step sheet rather than reprinting it. Official step sheet on CopperKnob
Why this one is in the library
Named a current favorite in 2025 line-dance revival coverage.
The cheat sheet
A bar favourite that never left the rotation. Confident, stompy, a bit of swagger.
Improver level — it moves faster than the beginner dances and assumes you know a grapevine.
Have one or two beginner dances solid before you take this one on.
How it goes
32 count intro, no tags or restarts. Danced to Cut 'Em All. Confident and stompy.
Stomp, clap, sailor, twice
Stomp your right out to the right and clap. Sailor step: left behind, right beside, brush the left through. Then stomp your left out and clap, and a sailor step the other way, ending forward on the right.
Rock, recover, kick ball steps
Rock forward on the left, recover, step the left in and rock back on the right, recover forward. Then two kick-ball-steps forward — kick the right, step it down, step forward left.
Quarter chassé, cross rock, chassé
Rock forward right, recover, then chassé right through a quarter turn. Cross-rock your left over, recover, and chassé left.
Point, flick, vine, full turn
Point your right toe in front, then to the side. Flick it up behind your left leg and step down. Vine right, cross your left over, and unwind a full turn. Land with weight on the left so you can stomp into the next wall.
Go dance this week
We do not claim to know which night plays which song. What we do know is where country dancing happens — here are three of the region's nights, and the calendar has the rest.
