The closest thing Michigan has to a Texas dance hall, about ninety minutes south. Long lessons open both nights — Friday 7:00 to 8:45, Saturday 7:00 to 8:30 — taught by the house crew of Sarah, Penny and Gloria, then a DJ ($8) or a live band ($9) carries the floor, till midnight Friday and 2 AM Saturday. Strictly 18 and up ($15 with ID under 21), and the attached Cheers 2 The Front restaurant serves dinner Thursday through Saturday, prime rib included, if you want to eat before the lesson.
